Nowadays communication has never been easier. It used to be that communicating with precious loved ones is very hard. It used to be that sending just the shortest message to loved ones required telegrams that would last for days before your message would get to its destination. But now, things have changed tremendously. With the advent of fiber optic technology, everything just comes in a split second. Calls are cheaper than ever. Calls are clearer than ever.

We all know that communication is among the greatest discoveries of all time. It is the life that lies within modern society. In its absence, we could not be able to understand each other and the world is in chaos. No flow of anything in the world can be expected without communication. Since it is the lifeblood of a society, it follows that it is also the lifeblood of small organizations and even businesses, big and small.

It is therefore small wonder why most companies nowadays today spend so much so that there is optimum communication. The majority of this budget will usually be spent to making efforts to make sure that a smooth communication line is existing from the top leadership down to the employees.

So how can communication unite an entire organization and as a result, work together to reach the organizations mission and vision?

Through communication, people can properly send important information to the receivers or in mass media, to the audience or the decoder. When we communicate, we are trying to create a common interest to the receiver, thus, we build a relationship.

To the student, it is the most coveted passing mark in the grade report card.

To lovers, communication fosters understanding.

For those married couples, it is the doctor's gesture that gives them a hint that they are having a baby.

To businessmen, it educates end-consumers about their products and services.

To the financially challenged, it comes as a word of hope for a better tomorrow.

For the men and women in uniform, it is the green light that lets them know to start firing.

For those who are battling diseases and for those who are physically challenged, this comes as the good news that all cancer cells are totally removed.

For pilgrims, it means having a peace of mind.

Communication comes in many forms and ways of expressing it are countless. There is nothing that contains it. Its essence is beyond reckoning. This has paved the way to the modern world and it has made alliances possible to promote the greater good. It has given much to the reality of the world that we are living in right now. If not for the power of convergence, nothing in the world today is what it seems.
